Sorry to hear about the "mall-izing" of your shops. I hate malls too. I like the little places that have been in the neighborhood forever. They know you and have a stake in the community. I hate it when commercialization tries to turn everybody into a consumer, first and foremost.


I'm your polar opposite... an awesome consumer of crap, I instantly go into "I need one of everything" mode.


Ha ha..such a familiar post. I HATE shopping for clothes at the mall. On the other hand, the bigger the grocery store, the happier I am. They have none of the charm of the smaller, individualized family stores, though.

Nalli. Aaah.


I LOVE shopping. It can be onions, it can be silk. It can be potti kadai, it can be Globus.
